📜 Day‑by‑Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Rameshwaram

Your driver picks you up from Rameshwaram railway station or Madurai airport (as planned). Drive to your hotel, freshen up, and in the evening visit Agnitheertham for a holy dip. After sunset, explore the Ramanathaswamy Temple – its 1,200‑pillar corridor is a marvel. Stop at the nearby Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple before dinner. Overnight in Rameshwaram.

Local tip: Temple opens at 5:00 AM; the early morning ‘palli arai’ puja is a serene experience if you’re an early riser.

Day 2 – Rameshwaram to Dhanushkodi & Pamban

After breakfast, drive to Dhanushkodi, the abandoned town at the tip of the island. Walk along the beach where the Bay of Bengal meets the Indian Ocean. Return via Pamban Bridge (photo stop) and visit the APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial. Evening free to explore the local market for shell crafts. Overnight in Rameshwaram.

Day 3 – Rameshwaram to Madurai (170 km, 3.5 hrs)

Check out after breakfast and drive to Madurai. Check into a hotel near the temple. Around 4:00 PM, enter the Meenakshi Amman Temple – spend at least two hours admiring the 12 towering gopurams and the Hall of Thousand Pillars. Attend the evening Meenakshi‑Sundareshwarar wedding ceremony (around 7 PM). Overnight in Madurai.

Day 4 – Madurai Heritage & Surroundings

Start with Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple (one of the six abodes), then visit Tirumalai Nayakkar Palace – a 17th‑century Indo‑Saracenic gem. In the afternoon, explore Pazhamudircholai temple on a hillock, and if time permits, stop at the Gandhi Memorial Museum. Overnight in Madurai.

Day 5 – Madurai to Kodaikanal (120 km, 3.5 hrs)

Leave after breakfast and ascend to the Princess of Hill Stations. En route, stop at Silver Cascade Falls. Check into a hotel with valley views. In the evening, walk to Kodaikanal Lake – hire a pedal boat or simply sit by the promenade. Overnight in Kodaikanal.

Day 6 – Kodaikanal Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Coaker’s Walk for stunning valley views, then drive to Pine Forest and Guna Caves. Post‑lunch, head to Dolphin’s Nose viewpoint and Bryant Park. The town is small, so you’ll have time to shop for homemade chocolates and eucalyptus oil. Overnight in Kodaikanal.

Day 7 – Kodaikanal to Coimbatore / Madurai (Drop)

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Depending on your departure, we’ll drive you to Coimbatore airport (4 hrs) or Madurai airport/station (3 hrs). If time allows, stop at the Chettiar Park or take a short horse‑ride by the lake before leaving. Trip ends with fond memories.
